Extension cords are now allowed in hand-carry

Extension cords and power strips are now allowed in carry-on luggage at all airports in the Philippines, including Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

The Office of Transportation Security (OTS) made this change in response to passenger complaints.

However, this is a temporary decision while the OTS reviews their list of prohibited items. This means that while you can bring these items in your hand-carry for now, the rule might change again in the future, either permanently allowing them or banning them once more.

In case you encounter any issues at the airport security, you can show them this memo from the OTS.
