Lightning Red Alert issued

UPDATE: As of 4:37pm, the alert has been downgraded to yellow. Ground operations will now resume.

The airport authority, Manila International Airport Authority, has issued a Lightning Red Alert as of 4:07pm today. During this time, all ground operations including aircraft servicing, parking, baggage loading and unloading, and boarding and deplaning is suspended. Delays in departures and disembarkation are expected.

This advisory will be updated once it is lifted.
